Deadlines were never so PRETTY...
Pros: Clean Interface, Attractive Themes, Elegant Layouts, and does EXACTLY what I wanted a desktop calendar to do. You have an immediate "snapshot" of the month at hand OR also have LAST month/NEXT month OR have the NEXT 2 months viewable. You can see when you have appointments coming up and pretty much use the Calendar as a REFERENCE for anything TIME related. The included themes are cute but even better is the ability to SKIN your own themes so this one is definitely ONE OF THE PRETTIEST...
Cons: The other reviewer had a few valid points about this program eating up a little more memory than other programs. Their argument about this program being ALOT of eye candy is also valid but that is where I think SOME of us will differ. I wanted a desktop calendar that was ATTRACTIVE to compliment my wallpaper and generally IMPROVE the boring desktop I have to face on a DAILY BASIS. This program does NOT lack in features but it could do SOME THINGS BETTER to appease those detail oriented people who want a WORKING ORGANIZER. You have the SIDEBARS which give you information at a glance but I think MOST people will NOT like this feature. It clutters up the desktop and generally gives you TOO MUCH INFORMATION at a glance. If you HIDE them then all you have are the THUMBNAILS on the calendar itself which is ELEGANT and PRETTY but then there is NO DIFFERENTIATION between events. So you see a THUMBNAIL but you have to HOVER to see what it is where it woudl have been NICE to see a CAKE, a FLOWER, etc to denote WHAT TYPE OF APPOINTMENT IT IS. There are OTHER programs that are MORE detail oriented with COLOR CODING, STREAMING MESSAGES, etc, etc but I wanted soemthing SIMPLE, ELEGANT, and FUN. This fit PERFECTLY and if they can TWEAK some options then users can actually make it MORE DETAIL ORIENTED if they so fancied. The ONLY COMPLAINTS I have is that
1) The thumbnails are FIXED and you cannot use different images for DIFFERENT types of tasks.
2) The Outlook integration is a little clunky since you have to have Outlook OPEN to actually be able to reference it. They DO have an OUTLOOK import option but they should AUTOMATE it so you do NOT have to manually update this program with NEW tasks.
