Symantec! Too much disappointment!

Pros: Good design (if it can be considered a pro, for an AV ...)

Performances of the realtime scan in the average

Cons: After years of fidelity to the several versions of NAV, I have installed version 2005: This software is the worse one than Symantec has never commercialized! Slow, expensive, boring to uninstall. Moreover, if confronted with the contenders, (PCCillin, AVG, Bitdefender etc...) its performances demonstrates that they are indeed the historical minimum of Symantec! But the scandal, is the system resources that the program uses: having this software in the PC is like emptying a ship that sinks with a smashed bucket... In my office I have tested for 3 months the trial version on a low level machine (Sempron 2400+/512MB RAM). The result is what I have described over... Adios Norton... years ago you were the best, now you're dust...

Probably the best free AV

Pros: The program is very efficient, not too heavy on the system, easy to use and free... Probably the better free AV i have tested

Cons: The interface is quite old-style, the full system scan is slow and the updates requires a fast connection to internet (just like Pc Cillin or Norton...)
