Pros: I can get going to create minimalistic beat (basic drums only) but anything else is very complicated. I don't have midi and don't want midi, just want to use computer to compose music.
Cons: old PCs don't like it. Many options and this is supposed to be the simpler one? just to make a simple composition it is very complicated.

Pros: looks like a very well laid out program with tons of useful features for DJs to do traditional DJ stuff, I was just looking to see about scratch capabilities.
Cons: scratch capabilities were really good, but the turntable/vinyl area to grab onscreen was too small for use with a mouse....

Pros: I haven't used extensively but is the follow-on software to "ethereal" (sp?), to track your ip packets.

Pros: I got this to recognize my cd-rom when an old version of another software (CD Creator Adaptec) didn't and wasn't supported. worked well. reasonably decent interface.

Pros: haven't run into any limitations I can think of for what you would normally need with a compression program.
Cons: not sure if the file associations it wants to take might be used by other, non-compression kinds of programs eg audio players etc.
