Horrific Interface.... Massive Disimprovement

Pros: 1. It appears to work. How well I cannot tell you as I have been spyware free for years...

2. It is a 100% free, real time protector. Despite what people may say about this product, no other product offers real time protection for free (some do offer free scanners, but they only remove badware after the event: Ad-Aware/Spybot etc.). Microsoft can afford to be complacent as no other company offers real time protection for free and we all know how we are suckers for free stuff.

Cons: 1. Horrific Interface. Beta 1 was much easier to use, had a lot more functionality and was a much better program in many, many ways. This for me is a major step backwards.

2. Most people who install this program will immediately ask themselves: Is the protector working as I don't see it in the system tray? I can't believe they don't even have a FAQ on their site to cover this.

3. The FAQ on their site is stupid beyond belief. I have read through them all, and I don't think people ask such dumb questions. The questions most people on here are asking (the real FAQs) are not given a mention on their site.

4. In an attempt to be minimalistic, Microsoft have, in my opinion, raped and destroyed what was a very good product (Beta 1). I certainly hope they can sort this mess out.

HOWEVER - it is FREE - and it WORKS!

All Good

Pros: I am very happy with this software. It does exactly what it is designed to do. Easy to use, foolproof!

Cons: So far, none. Well Done on such a good piece of software. Not too sure about the price though...
