FrostWire

Version: 4.13.4

Limewire I hated. This is much better!!! AND FREE TURBOCHARGED DOWNLOADS

Pros: I downloaded Limewire, and for some odd reason I didn't like it. Everybody liked it but I hated it, but FrostWire is excellent and I love the software!!

It has a feel of Limewire, only its a nice blue colour and its faster than Limewire.

The tabs are the same at the top but smaller and therefore looks nicer and expands the window. It also has an extra option so you can chat to many people using frostwire at the same time.

It includes more search results which is fantastic, includes bit-torrent and limewire results and therefore you only need one software to download files!

Also includes i-tunes too!

It includes also the turbo-charged connection that you can only get in the paid version of limewire.

I love the software and its much better than limewire!

Cons: Sometimes it doesn't search for mp3's, but if you type in the song or artist's name in the search "All types" then it works!

Apart from that I haven't seen any cons yet!

Internet Explorer 8

Version: beta 1

Don't download the new version until the final release.

Pros: I am one of these people who likes to download programs in the BETA stages just to feel the new features and enjoy the benefits before the final releases of the software. I have seen screenshots and read reviews and knew I weren't going to get much but I though "Yes I will download it". My advice to you is don't. It is definatly the worst BETA I have ever seen and come across.

PROS:

Its much faster than Internet Explorer 7, and thats the biggest reason why I downloaded it. For speeds, however even though it is faster I want an added feature to make it faster and impress me.

I thought the bolded parts in the URL would annoy me, but its okay and its a good safety feature to have.

More right click options and good use of Internet services.

The best option for me though is the "Emulate IE7" button, so I can actually browse in peace.

Cons: CONS:

The new interface looks nicer on the outside but using it makes me cringe. Its not as soft as IE7, its very sharp. Feels like Windows 95 style. Not the Windows Vista smooth WOW. The favorites looks neater where it is in this version but its a bad place to put it, because it covers the tabs making it look messier.

There seems to be a lot of free space when using only one tab which is awful, and could be used for more Internet Previewing space.

Now comes to content of websites. HORROR!

Its is awful, to say you can't browse is the under statement.

You are very lucky to go to another page when clicking on a hyperlink. Textboxes in youtube don't work, pictures at download.com are messed up. All websites are affected by this dreadful bug. You can't search or even write a download comment with IE8. The only way you can is by pressing the Emulate IE7.

The worst BETA I have come across. Microsoft have to do alot with this browser before it can make it successful. It doesn't even come close to the 5 stars I gave the previous release. Lets hope they can provide us with a better browser in the final release of IE8.

Internet Explorer 7

Version: release candidate 1

Getting Better I must admit

Pros: This browser is much much better than Internet Explorer 6. It looks nicer, it actually does feel safer and cared for, and finally they have actually brought in modern technology yaaaaaaay! Tabbing browser we have waited along time for you, and RSS reader!!! It has a new phishing detector, which is good, and has alot less holes so viruses and spyware can't sneak through. The icon has changed into a really nice posh pearl icon, goes well with the new vista OS! Google search tool is also brilliant, instant search insted of loading up google and then typing your message in!!! It does seem alot faster at loading up webpages, or it might just be me! Plus it changes the font, it seems smoother! I would actually recommend that you do try it out!

Cons: Yet again, Mozilla, Opera, and Firefox are all still much better than IE 7. Microsoft have alot of catching upto do if they have to compete against it competitors. You can't customize the interferance which is annoying, so if you want more options you have to click the arrows. Still lots of security holes, and awful installation, took me 16 attempts to install the beta versions (TIP: Close down every single program you have and log off the Internet during installation) and got rid of most its IE6 options.

Spyware Begone

Version: 8

Different

Pros: Well this software is quite interesting, it is not professional as you can tell with the animated interferance. What made me laugh was the camera turning back and forth while it was searching for spyware. What also made me laugh was it was so high about its self!

Cons: It seems to go quite fast at the beginning but then slows down, after about 6 minutes its only searched through a low amount of files, whilst spyware doctor and ad-aware was 95% finished. Very slow, seems very babyish, definatly doesn't compete against ad-aware or spyware doctor! (mind my spellings)

BlueVoda Website Builder

Version: 7.7

Really good!

Pros: Well I like drag n drop programs, because they really easy and fun to work with, also it has HTML coding as well, so you can add your own codes in as well. It has Java, Windows Media Player, Flash, Objects, Form maker, All the other options, it lets you change the scrollbars, embed other webpages in your website and lets you make fun tweaks to your webpage. The software is free, and bugs and new fun features are added everytime. You will need to sign up to get newsletters informing you they have updated!

Cons: I downloaded this from a search engine, and really in a way tricks you to downloading it, but once downloaded it youn find out to publish it is costs £50 each year to keep it up and running. Its £50 to sign up and in some areas could be £100. Its a nasty little trick, but apart from that BlueVoda is cheap and easy to work with.
