Cons: Take a look at the "4 star" ratings this thing has. They all include no content, just a name and then "ww" or "zz" in the text field. Looks like this company has been using temporary email addresses or something to create phony ratings. That makes me not want to try this product at all.

Pros: This product lets me do just about anything I want as far as editing sound tracks and converting to different formats.
Cons: The company does not seem to care about supporting their product. I had a question about how to convert a track that is supposedly stereo (but the sound only comes out the left speaker) to being actually stereo. The program does not seem to let me do this. I couldn't find anything that would do it in the help files so went to the support forum on their website where I found several people asking the same question, going as far back as 2005, most of whom got no response and one of whom received an Admin response asking for more info but, though the original poster posted back with the requested info, the Admin person never posted again. Frustrating. Still, I've had this for like 2 years and this is my first major problem with it.

Pros: Very easy to use and understand. Whenever I contact customer support they are always relatively quick to email me back and are good at working with me to solve my issue.
Cons: Always seems to spaz out if you're splicing together anything over an hour long. Suddenly files will stop having audio or will stop loading, even though they have never had problems before. Sometimes issue is resolved by restarting the program.

Pros: Fairly simple to navigate.
Cons: This just did not work for me. I tried several different options to get it to convert my .mpg file to .avi but the output was always jerky and halting. Also, they do not seem to have a user's manual or anything like that, either included in the download or online. Their website is a mess.

Pros: This program was very great in that it let me edit down my wav files (for example, movie quotes) to get just the bit I wanted. It will also let you splice different things together.
Cons: You can only edit mp3 files, although it does include a converter so you can convert your wavs into mp3s. Also it doesn't let you change the file name when you do something. For example, I have a long audio file which I want to turn into several short files of different parts. Each time I edit it down and save one of these bits, it saves it with the exact same name as the original file (although I can choose to put it in a different folder). This is very annoying and can be confusing.
