Pros: I used to think FineReader was THE BEST, but now Omnipage 16 surpasses it. Still like Omnipage this software is way overpriced, c'mon it almost costs the same as a PC, aren't programmers in Russia cheaper than that?

Pros: This is probably the best OCR that there is, but it's way overpriced, c'mon Nuance $499?! That's almost the price of my PC and more than the price of my digital camera!

Cons: It's OK if your image doesn't have mixed text and graphics, otherwise you have lots of headaches, the free version doesn't support zoning, or PDF output, or HTML output, it doesn't offer any advanced image processing filters, nor does it have error/spell correction, and if you want to have a language other than english you need to find, download and install yourself the proper language files. It's just a simple GUI on a free Software OCR engine, but worth the price :)

Pros: average results and features, but some of the free software is better, only real advantage over free software is that it supports more languages

Pros: This is ridiculous! It's nothing more than a wrapper on the free Tesseract OCR engine! This guy expects us to pay for free software. Pretty soon there will be 10 different FREE GUI's for Tesseract. Why should someone pay for what is free software, get a clue!
