Would be a good program if....
Pros: Its not a bad program - it does have a lot of features, but whenever a program deviates from the "windows norm' way of working - it really lets the application down.
Why am i stuck with the fonts and colours that the programmers have chosen? Why cant I drag to expand the toolbar on the left hand side? Why cant i expand a window size by depth and width (only depth possible)
The program also crashed three times - when I didnt even do anything major.
Once on install, I clicked an icon to see what it does, and the program just vanished - and im left with an scrolling edit box.
Then I enter a record and press generate report - and it crashed
It also installs a whole bunch of things without asking. It replaced my MDAC for me without giving me an option. I know the program wouldnt work without the latest drivers, but If it had given me a choice, I wouldnt have installed the demo
It also installed XML software that I didnt particularly want - and a whole bunch of DLL's in my Windows directory that I was quite happy with.
Oh and also in the blurb - it says You can paste any kind of windows output in the notes, yet when I tried to paste (oh and there IS no right click paste by the way) a internet explorer HTML page - it wouldnt have any of it.
Also when I activate the various toolbars- i can only activate one toolbar at a time! WHY??? Every other program has a checkbox and you just click the toolbars you want or dont want!!
And to top that off - they dont even Autojoin - each toolbar is a seperate floating entity that doesnt even position itself in a nice way
Not a bad program generally - but it only lasted 20 minutes on my pc. Not really my cup of tea - although if they made some visual improvements and go with standard button-layout - i wouldnt mind trying it again.
Cons: I think i covered most of them above. I only give it 3 stars because the guys have done alot of work but they need to hire some better testers, and use standard /traditional windows operations
