So Much Better Than Norton Ghost
Pros: If you run xp pro and want to upgrade to a larger Hard Drive, this is the program to use. My windows xp CD exploded into a thousand pieces when it got stuck in a crappy DVD-writer and tried to force it out. This became a major problem when I wanted to upgrade HD's. I tried using ghost at first and my first 2 attempts failed. I found out later that cloning xp with ghost is a bit tricky becuase you have to do some tweaking with the HD in DOS (not my specialty ) before running the program. Finally gave up with norton ghost and decided to try Acronis. Couldn't believe it, this program worked on the very first try. All I had to do was to switch the cables and the computer booted from the clone with no problems. Best of all, the entire process is done in windows so you don't have to screw around in DOS. Based on these results, I know I can count on Acronis to back up all my drives. If you're not exactly an expert with PC's and suffer from DOS phobia like myself, Acronis is the ticket. Just one more additional note, if you only need to clone a HD and don't really need to back up drives, then just get Acronis Migration to save some cash.
Cons: Took a while to perform the duplication but that's inherent when performing this type of operation.
