Great antivirus but....

Pros: This found 4 viruses that avast 4.8 missed, and found viruses on two different ipods and deleted them without fuss or bother.

The free version doesn't state whether it protects email clients.

Very fast scan.

Cons: The updates are painfully slow, it took nearly two hours to update the definitions, delaying updates is a risk on it's own and avira really need to address this issue,an issue thats been ongoing for a few years now.

Shame really and for this reason I will be trying something else.

The retail version updates very fast indeed and has more features, so the very least avira could do is give a few more update servers for the free version.

This is also "Nagware" asking you to upgrade to the retail version.

Come on avira sort your updates out, your losing out to shoddier antivirus programs like avast and avg.

Suspicious File

Cons: There is nothing good to say about this software, I uninstalled it because something about it alerted my suspicions, which later proved right.

After I uninstalled it 'Trojan remover' found several nasties which it kindly killed off for me.

If you want a really good music manager and if you need something IPod compatible I would suggest 'mediamonkey' it truly is the best out there and the standard edition is free and if you need something really light on resources use 'foobar2000' unfortunately foobar2000 no longer supports windows2000 but older copies still work which can be downloaded from 'old apps' or 'old version' dot com.

Magix in my mind is poo!

Not Very Reliable

Pros: It's freeware!

Cons: This email checker has had it's day, the preset email servers are often out of date, I have myself been asking for lycos UK to be added to it's list of servers for around 4 years to no availability.

When checking yahoo mail, if you ask it to delete from incoming it will often recheck mail and mark them all as unread??

I am fed up to the back teeth with this program now.

Say's it works with aim..it does not, many of the email suppliers it says it will check it doesn't.

My best way of checking email and ridding spam is mailwasher...it's brilliant.
