One of the top three free anti-virus programs.

Pros: This latest version on ANTIVIR is a good improvement to the GUI and user friendliness. This is STILL one of the best free anti-virus programs available and it found a virus that AVG never found on my PC!!! Several options to apply and sports real-time monitoring to help protect you.

Can't go wrong with using Antivir. One of the BEST anti-virus program available, including all ones you would have to pay and arm and a leg for!!!

The Greatest package available.

Pros: The absolute best suite available today....period. Start with the best Firewall around,add the best anti-virus program provided by CA(Computer Associates)

and a much improved Anti-Spyware scanner/ remover, and you have the total package!!!!

This suite also includes identitiy theft protection,a new game mode so you can play games while keeping from being bombarded with pop-up warnings and still protect your PC, Spy Site blocking and the cherry on the top...the triple layer firewall protection that ZoneAlarm has,to keep your security and peace of mind.

Plus even more features, too many to mention make this Suite the best bang for your buck!!!!

P.S. I used to have compatibility issues before,when I used ZoneAlarm free edition along with either AVG or AVAST anti-virus.

Since this is the full Suite which included ANTI-VIRUS and ANTI-SPYWARE...I now only use this suite and have elininated all my compatibility issues,which makes me safer,happier and I stopped having to take Prozac.... ha...ha

Cons: Kinda pricey but there are others more expensive that don't do as good a job.

Reputation and ease of use makes up for the cost.

SpyCatcher Express 2006

NEVER got program to run ????

Pros: NOTHING. Got it downloaded but never got it to run. At a file size of over 17Mb!! not really worth the disk space.

Cons: This so-called security program stopped ALL my programs from loading!! After installing this I could not get it to run and would not allow me to run ANY of my other programs or even get on the internet!! I had to go into safe mode just to uninstall this junk. I even tried installing it a SECOND time just to see if any of my security programs were stopping or conflicting this program from running. Still no luck. Had to do a hard boot and go into safe mode to uninstall it again. What a pain in the A..!!!! My suggestion, if you want good real-time antispyware/adware monitoring and removal for FREE.Try Microsoft Anti-spyware, or Spyware Terminator. Both are top-notch and they won't crash your PC!!!

Free Registry Defrag

Works with Vista..... YAY

Pros: Very few FREE reg defrags that work with

Vista. This one and CCleaner are good ones. Quick analyization of your system with the use of a progress bar.After that it tells you current registry size,the size it will be after compacting and the amount of space you will save after compacting. I just ran mine and after compacting I will save 11% of space therefor improving the whole systems performance!! Can't go wrong with this one. Try it and see how much room on your registry it will free up. Works great with XP also.

Cons: Doesn't show you what file types it is compacting, very basic info but hey it work great that way.

Wise Registry Cleaner

Good Registry Cleaner but still buggy

Pros: Very clean and simple GUI.Easy to use and quick scans. Tells you what is safe to fix and what is not safe to fix.Sports a restore feature if you decide to bring back any or all the files that were deleted. Great for the novice or the advanced user.Works great with XP and it helps "clean up" unneeded junk in your registry thus speeding up your PC a bit. Good tech support in case you need help.

Cons: Publishers claims that it works with Vista.My personal experience is that it is still quite buggy with Vista. It installs and runs scans fine but some notification boxes are partially visible and when it comes to "fix" all the unnecessary files, the program hangs and never finishes.Tech support says that the newest release will fix the bugs but build 43 released today still has not fixed the Vista glitches.

Overall I give it 4 stars for running it on XP but only 1 star for compatibility with Vista. Hopefully the next version will fix this.
