Not the best audio player.

Pros: This program is pretty, has full speed ripping capabilities for free, and doesn't use a lot of resources.

Cons: However the problem with this player is that it doesn't have a window to view your entire audio library. The only way to load music is to locate it manually, or to create a playlist. If you want to browse through genre, or by album or artist, you're out of luck. I'd recommend Winamp for playback. It has similar functionality, with more plugins and skins as well as a media library window to view your music via catagory. Use an externally ripper to rip your audio like Cdex, or fork out the $$ and buy Winamp Pro. Quintessential doesn't deserve as high a rating as it is getting especially since Winamp only got 4 stars and it has more features.

Nice player, needs work on interface

Pros: This is an excellent player if your computer is short on resources. It's small, and is able to play dvd and other video without taxing your system.

Cons: The interface is from the stoneage however, and needs to be modernized. One thing I found extremely strange is the lack of a reverse button. You can go fast forward or slow motion, but no reverse? Weird! Otherwise I highly recomend this player.

Must have protection

This program is excellent. It provides easy encryption for tax returns, financial statements, etc. With all the various spyware, virus, and hackers on the web, everyone should use this program to encrypt personal info..... just in case. It's the easiest way I've seen. Despite all the whiners here, 25MB is plenty of storage for the average user, unless you're trying to encrypt pictures or audio files.
