Good, free, no catch
Pros: It's good stuff and it's free. Major improvements have been made to all kinds of Linux programs so that you don't have to miss out any of the stuff Windows users can do. In fact, if you get to know the command line, it's actually more powerful! It also comes with a software manager, where you can install/uninstall software with the click of a button. And last but not least, it's more secure so you don't need a virus scanner running in the background wasting your RAM!
Cons: Some software that has not been made compatible with the software manager yet, has to be compiled manually and that can be tough. Please bear in mind however that you won't have to deal with this unless you really dig into the web to search for applications that do not have a large user base.
