As bad as other p2p programs

Pros: None

Cons: This program is just as bad as all the other p2p programs. WinMX was the only one that ran with any reliability and speed. I have tried Ares, Morpheus, Lime Wire, Shareaza and they all are not worth the trouble. They all, including Ares have VERY slow downloads if you can even connect. I have tried downloading Movies, Pics, andMusic and just about everyone showed pending without changing. The ones that did start to download says it will take 131 hrs to complete like all the other programs. Since WinMX shut down file sharing has no longer been enjoyable and not worth the hassle if it is going to take days to download a 700 meg file. I think I will stay away from file sharing for awhile until connection and downloading/sharing improves.

Dont Bother - Downloads take forever and eats memory

Cons: I have used Shareaza for a few years (ever since WinMX went away) and was a great p2p program. Now with the latest past few versions, downloads take forever. It is taking me days or weeks to download what I used to be able to in hours or a couple days. I am now using emule and have downloaded more files in 2 days than in 3 weeks with Shareaza. Also Shareaza uses up alot of memory and slows everything else down dramaticaly. If Shareaza can fix this problem I will go back to using it again, but until then I am sticking with emule

Used to be better but not now

Pros: I like the fact that you get notices from other users if a file is not what it says it is, such as a movie like The Transformers when it is actually a porn file.

The file search is pretty good although I dont understand why you get .wma and .zip files when searching for video files.

Cons: WinMX was the fastest p2p that I knew of. Could download movies or TV shows in a matter of a a few hours. until forced to shutdown. Shareaza is very slow on downloads, and as soon as you get to between 97.0 and 99.0% completed it stops and can take a few days to get that last 2 or 3 % completed. I downloaded a 2 part movie file and it took me over a month to finally get the second file downloaded. It used to be a lot faster than it is now and when you try to go to their web site to get help around the Firewall thing you cant. I have tried to go to the Shareaza web site for over a week now and cant connect to their site for help. Not sure if their website is shut down or what but I think I will give Emule Plus a try.
