A very useful programme.

Pros: A simple...but 'vital' programme of which scans your PC and alerts you to every programme that is installed. The programme collects a complete list of everything you have installed and everything that is running and gives a summary of the programmes safety. There is even an 'icon' display to alert you to what the meaning of the scanned programme indicates. This is a great piece of software for searching unknown software of which could be potentially dangerous.

Probably the best free firewall you will get!

Pros: Most free firewalls are either full of pop-ups or nagging reminders to buy the full product. Armor however gives you optimum protection and without the annoying pop-ups and nagging flash displays of which attempt you to buy the full product. This software is as effective...but as easy going as you can get for a decent firewall. The interface is as basic as you can get with absolutely no frills and although it may sit silently in the background...be assured that the alerts can be quite active. Twinned with 'winpatrol' this software gives great everyday protection and is far more effective than most other free firewalls. This is a superb professional firewall that definately concentrates on doing it's job and it does it very well.

Cons: This is not a dislike as such...BUT if you are using Kaspersky anti-virus, make sure that if you use Armor firewall...that the 'pro-active' defense (defence)is disabled otherwise it will clash with this software. (always best to check software compatabilities!)

A Great Programme!

Pros: There is nothing i don't like about this programme. I have tried several other programmes (including the well known Ad-Aware and Spybot) and all have failed to recognise any threats. Having ran Superantispyware on a full system scan it picked up threats that others had simply missed. This software scans deep into the system and alerts you to what it has found. I don't think you will get any better for free.
