Pros: *i have this installed as a secondary scanner, i love the boot time scanning, that's why even though i have Nod32(the best antivir ever)i can't uninstall this prod, bcuz its boot time scanning is very effective!
Cons: *none, it's wonderful...i just hope they keep it free for years to come

Pros: *database is always updated, as it updates hourly
*it has multiple functions, such as anti-spam,parental control, mail scanner,firewall and etc
*top notch virus,spyware and firewall protection
*not too heavy on the resources
*scans quite fast
*the firewall is great as i've done numerous leaktest, and it seemed to block every exploit thrown its way successfully...
Cons: *to get the optimal protection you must tweak the level of security yourself, as the default recommended security level does not give you the optimum protection
*too much user-intervention, if you enable the proactive defense, especially the program integrity and registry guard....pop-up appears constantly up to 5 times at one time...it doesnt make its own choice keeps asking you what to do.., this can be confusing for a computer novice, as you wouldnt really know what can be allowed and what action should be blocked...annoying...they should really do something about the pop-up..its really driving me crazy...yes i can choose to turn the notification off, but i'd like to know whats going on wit my pc...
*the price is steeped...
*parental control looks like clearly its first attempt...if you have a child, safe to say that you should install another stand-alone app for monitoring, as this function isnt as good as the ones in noerton or bit defender...

Pros: *it's database is huge..more than 500,000 and growing..
*it has updates at least twice a day
*it scans your memory(crucial)
*it detects scumware that your avs and other anti-spyware program miss
*it has good trojan detection (as this was initially a trojan remover software)
*it uses low resources, compared to the big boys (spyware doc and spyware sweeper)
*easy user interface
*has extra feature such as the schredder, process viewer, startup viewer and editor....and i could go on forever
Cons: *none! except you have to pay for it! but hey i dont mind shelling out money for this kinda prog..it just works great!!

Pros: *none
Cons: *this is the worst anti spyware product; bcuz i had such a bad experience with it, i have to make sure that i write a review about this prod.
*it gives you so many false positives,eg inclusive of my avast antivir, 7-zip, vlc media player and some very crucial system32 files, i being a dummy, deleted these files and after booting, i could not log on to my windows, n had to reformat my *****n pc!!
*when i checked the same files that were found infected with avg anti-spyware, spyware doc and spy sweeper, they didnt detect any thing wrong with my pc.
*beware! you don't want to learn about this prod like me, the hard way!

Pros: *the best detection rates ever, tried kaspersky, nod32, avast, avg, bit defender and norton... this antivir truly has the best detection rates, it caught many trojans the other av missed
*low on the system resources
*it's well free
Cons: *update is quite slow, but it's doesn't take forever, if you have 15 mins, to spare, then i guess you're ok, cuz that's how long it took to update
*it doesnt provide protection for email, smtp and pop3
*doesn't have a protection for web browser either
*and for these two reasons, i have upgraded it to the premium, and absolutely happy with it...
