Cons: This software doesn't know which drivers are compatible with your computer hardware. I downloaded the latest sound driver and it caused my computer to fail to boot. I had to do a restore operation to "last good configuration" to get it running again. It might work some of the time, but it isn't perfect.

Pros: It is easy to use
Cons: Doesn't always back up changes and doesn't always restore those it does backup. Also has removed some needed registry settings and caused me to have to use system restore to get them back. Use with caution and be sure to back up first!

Pros: Prevx is relatively fast at scanning on it's first scan. It seems to be watching what is running on the computer and I DID get the 31 day trial of the complete program, but after that it is not free!
Cons: It supposedly found one "malware" that was definitely a mistake...turned out to the uninstall program for Tax Act 2000. (Same program for 01,02,03,04, and 05 were not picked up as malware.) So I don't know how accurate its database is. I wouldn't trust it.

Pros: It doesn't seem to do anything bad to the computer and cleans many errors. Other cleanup utilities have broken some apps.
Cons: I am uncomfortable using it since the backup function is not reliable. I often make changes and no backup is made. I've reported this and even the latest version has not corrected this problem. It occurs on several computers with differnet os's, so I'm pretty sure it is a program bug, not a computer compatibility problem.

Pros: It felt noticeable faster than IE6 and has a nice interface. The tabbed browsing brings it up to where Opera and others were several YEARS ago. SO FAR, I have had no major problems with connectivity as others have reported.
Cons: It did something to security settings that alarmed Microsoft's own spyware software and I had to give it permission to lower my security settings in order to stop popup warnings from continually coming up on the Microsoft Anti-spyware.
