Nice, but needs to address yahoo spam and doesnt address refusal of friend requests
Pros: Digsby is very nice.
It unifies all the places we are called upon to chat/communicate with others, checking our email for new messages, ditto for facebook, unifies the different instant messengers, and (lacking in the version I tried but promised to be there soon) apparently allowing support for multiple IDs within a same messaging client.
Cons: Yahoo is the worse place for being harassed with spam I have ever seen. Especially if you are in any yahoo groups... spammers look up the lists and just fire away... I wouldn't be surprised if there was an automated procedure to do this!
In Yahoo, the problem gets addressed with a "report spam" function. This is lacking in digsby and the other clone messengers, and is the main cause fo rme not using it or any of the other ones. I try them again from time to time, but no one seems to want to bother adding this... yet, when you open ANY compatible messenger (not just digsby), you are bombardes with yahoo spam messages. It is enough to keep away and use the real yahoo messenger.
Also, I noticed that digsby does not adequately address the issue of refusing a contact to add you... if you say no, it just comes back next time!
