Coffee Cup software and service consistently excellent

Pros: As with the other Coffee Cup products I use, Video Player 4.5 is easy to use and produces excellent results. User reviews should always be taken overall. As often as not, an individual bad review is the result of a user's computer or other issue. I use a dozen Coffee Cup products and have found every one of them, including this new Video Player, excellent. In the rare occasion when I have had a problem with a Coffee Cup applet, it has always been because I failed to upload the files to the correct directory on the server, even though the instructions were quite clear. In that regard, Coffee Cup technical support, especially the Live Chat service, is always quick, clear and easily resolves whatever issue I may have had. And no, I don't work for the company, have no relatives working for the company, and I don't own stock or get paid for saying this. Hey, I'm just very happy with Coffee Cup top to bottom.

Cons: Uhhhh, well, let's see ... OK. They don't give away their products. In other words, I have no "cons" to offer.

Very limited functionality, not worth any payment

First, the product is bad with serious limitations. Second, those who have posted here that Ulead tech support is awful are 100% correct. I used the trial product, thought it was OK, then purchased it. I found out it does not allow the expanding menu to be visible over an existing web page, as it clearly does on the Ulead web site. I contacted tech support, rep said he didn't have an answer for me. Then I used the tech support submission form and didn't hear back from them after two weeks, so I submitted another form and didn't hear back for another week. Then I called customer service (fourth contact) for a refund. The rep told me the product doesn't do what I want it to do. I said it obviously works on the their own Ulead main page, whereupon he said they don't use their own product on their web site, instead they created their expanding menu with XML! Then he said they won't refund my money because it was a download and suspected I was trying to defraud them! He said "I talked with my superior, who said the product is performing exactly as it said it would. You should have discovered it's limitations during the trial period." And, he said all this with an attitude. UNBELIEVABLE! Do not, I repeat, waste money on this product or this company. I own Ulead's PhotoImpact 8 and am happy with it, but if I could get a refund for it just for the principle of it, I would. I am going to my bank to charge back the $49 I paid for this product.
