Easy to work with software
Pros: I liked using this easy to work with software, but to judge its quality, I run some tests.
I compared this program with: AVS Audio Converter 5.1 (not free). With both programs I performed the same tests, converting from Mp3 to Wav.
The first track I ripped from a Cd and converted the Wav track to Mp3 128kbps. I then coverted the Mp3 track back again with both programs to Wav.
The second track was a Mp3 156kbps download and it was also converted to Wav with both programs.
I listend to and judged all the tracks with a Denon AH-D5000 headphone.
From the first track I had 4 versions:
1. The Ripped Cd track to Wav.
2. The Mp3 128kbps track.
3. The Free Mp3 converted Wav track.
4. The AVS Audio converted Wav track.
I placed version 1. on 100% and version 2. on 0% (zero). After comparing, version 3. scored for me 60% and version 4. 80%.
From the second track I had 3 versions:
1. The downloaded Mp3 156kbps track.
2. The Free Mp3 converted Wav track.
3. The AVS Audio converted Wav track.
I placed version 1. on 0% (zero) and imagined that a Cd track version had 100%. After comparing, version 2. scored for me again 60% and version 3. 80%.
I judged the tracks on bass dynamics with tightness and an overall clean sound. The down scoring was done on a loose wooly bass without dynamics and a restless overall sound.
So AVS Audio Converter 5.1 is the winner for me, but with both programs, converted Mp3 audio sounded in Wav a lot better.
Cons: Easy to work with software and converted Mp3 audio to wav gives reasonable results.
