Pros: Sits quietly in the corner doing its job, and turns red if a problem shows up. Lets you look up the reasons it thinks a site is dodgy.
Cons: Yes, may download as an XPI file, unknown to Windows - to install it, open it from within Firefox using "File/Open File" on the menu.

Pros: This must be the simplest NTP client around - all you need is a time server (like pool.ntp.org). It's a delight to install and set up, and sits unobtrusively in my WinXP system tray. For the curious, the juicy details of your chosen time server can be displayed. Well done.
Cons: Could use an option to "Hide/Minimise" the settings page. Silly me keeps closing it by mistake after changing a setting.

Pros: Stable under WinXP, and the one-click recording is really handy once you get used to it. The bundle (including a RealMedia recorder and VCR) is great value too, at less than twice the price of the single program.
Cons: Would like to see the help files bundled with the download, and PLEASE update the list of TV stations in the VCR. Many aren't up anymore.

Pros: Tried lots of so-called serial port "monitors", but this is the first I found that reliably monitors traffic between a serial device and any Windows application that's talking to it. Downloaded this to troubleshoot the link to my UPS - did the job perfectly.
Cons: Quite expensive for one-off troubleshooting or for curiosity's sake, but fantastic and invaluable for those who work with serial ports for a living.

Pros: (Reviewing Standard version, fewer features than Premium at a lower price).
Yes, you need to pay for it to actually recover your files, but at least you can see what would be recovered first.
No problems installing/running on Windows XP SP-2.
Recovered ALL files from two partitions that had been deleted, resized and reformatted - some 30000 files in all.
Other products I tried would only recover selected file types - FinalData found everything.
Cons: None. Although it's a little dated this product still holds its own.
