Simply Superior

Pros: I am an 'it' professional. I have used this product for years, and thus also watched its development. I have great respect for Nick and his team, and the spirit in which they are invested in this work. This is the product of a serious dedication to no frills protection and privacy safeguarding for the 'community'... meaning you and me, and not for serving some corporate interest.

While you are checking it out, you should also check out what's available through the community forums they have forged with others for raising awareness about email safety, fighting spam, and so much more.

Very Good, but needs a little work...

Pros: Works with Outlook 97 and up! I tested it in OL97 only.

Easy to use. Simple management.

Competitively priced.

Can usually deal with duplicates well.

Excellent support - real people.

Cons: - If you use categories, they will all be replaced with your Google Calendar tag on initial sync. There's a work around... do not select the Settings:Google Calendars tab for the initial sync. After the first time syncing you can go in there and select calendars to sync with.

- I hope they implement the ability to filter according to Categories that you have applied in OL. I think the Pro version has this, but I am not certain.

- Not a con really, but you should know that if you have connected your addressbook.pab to OL it will conflict with the initial sync. Wwork around is You can remove the 'personal addressbook service' (in the Mail CP) for the initial sync, and then add it back after.

This is pretty solid software and does a decent job once you get past a few frustrations [mentioned above]. They really need to beef up the faq for these.

I just think they need to work a few things out, but then this is not the Pro product, so I don't know how it really compares.
