Driving Speed

Version: 1.16

great fun

Pros: I found this to be an all-around fun and very forgiving free 3D racing game; smooth controls, beautiful graphics. There's just one track for now, the Adelaide circuit, but it's a gem. You can gradually learn this challenging race track and eventually become better and better at beating the other computer-controlled drivers. Settable difficulty. It's fabulous, really!

Babala

Version: 0.3.0

This game will test you, test your wits. hey! what's UPSTAIRS?

Pros: This game is so elementary in its mode of play yet chock full of keen challenges, it'll boggle your mind, it's really special. You'll think you have it whipped, but then find you've got to *revise* your thinking and take a different tack. Never-ending twists and turns, downright diabolical, masterful trickery but all in plain sight. Y'gotta admire the author's pure genius!

Cons: OTOH, this game requires focus, and intentful thinking, and WHO NEEDS THAT!? gimme a mindless shoot-em-up anyday over this nutty "mental aerobics" concoction!

Genius Move

Unless you're under 10 years old... no

I voted Thumbs Down but actually I'm neutral. If you're under 10 it might be A-Ok. I only did a few beginner levels; and I'm certain they get really challenging later on. But the game is just a *little* too simplistic and boring for an me... no unique features or devices. But it will definitely challenge young intellects, and is a perfectly viable cute puzzle pursuit. Let the youngster try it.

Close Approach

Version: 2.03

I wasn't much impressed

Yes, it's inexpensive, but very hard nearly impossible to play. It's real hard to get a feel for the battlefield. You want cheap, try Acceleron -- now THAT was a bargain (at $2.95)!

Stone Collector

Version: 1.01

You will NOT be disappointed

I've purchased quite a lot of shareware games and reflecting back now, I've come to realize that Stone Collector is truly TOPS among them. It's beautifully rendered, nice soothing music, ever so challenging -- a genuine MASTERPIECE, I kid you not. Yes, it only has 108 levels at this time and yes, *eventually* you will have prevailed over all 108. But you will find yourself returning to this arena again and again for a dandy of a cerebral good time.
