I can recommend this product but not a set and forget.

Pros: Works fine, uses a small amount of resources, yet gives you the protection proven in the leak tests with most of the features found on the name brands. Has the living graphs and keeps the log. Keeps out the nasties.

Cons: Oh the lack of instructions and strangly worded control panel will prove a challenge for the even the most experienced expert.

What for instance is the difference between apply changes automaticly and automaticly save changes? On the default only the second one is checked, they both should be. If you like a good mystery it works. Still very intrusive with repeat pop up questions.

It works with my Wifi network while Zone Labs and some of the others did not. Free Net veda ran out after a year and refused to allow me to resubscribe.

startlingly good

Pros: Had some problems with the previous ST but this version has been improved. It downloads faster and has a web security guard that actually warns you about the potentially dangerous sites as you scan, giving a description and opinions. . It seems smoother and easier to control than the previous versions. I found their forum very helpful in dealing with a problen uninstalling parts of a previous version. Thank you for telling me about unlocker.

The controlls have been simplified with highlighted explanations. It uses less resources and seems less bloated than the Google Spy Doctor I had been using and the SD5.5 that I could not use. It also can be set to do a scan for cookies and also scan the favorites list.

Cons: Still fairly intrusive and the full scan takes forever, over an hour. I prefer to use it as a scanner with the real-time sheild off because of possible conflicts with my firewall. Watch out for the crawler toolbar, a lot of ads and takes up real estate.

A must have for Yahoo users

Pros: all the programs are there and easy to get to. Yahoo mail, games, etc. all a click away.

Cons: can be a bit buggy at times. The old antispyware program was better than the new Norton version which is much slower.
