Failed to install

Pros: Title says it all -- the installation failed. It's a fabulous idea -- installing Linux on a virtual drive, so you don't have to partition. I'll try again when it comes out of Beta. There are two reasons why I gave it 2 stars instead of one: 1) it unistalled completely and cleanly, from the program directory in Windows; and 2) it gave me the most amusing failure notice I've seen in years: "Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!" That has SO much more "pop" than "Fatal system error" and the Blue Screen of Death.

Hypnotizing -- but buggy

Pros: Absolutely fascinating to watch these random cams from ALL over the world. Great concept! I may have to quit my job...

Cons: Program locks up about half the time -- it continues to run, but it won't give your screen back. Had to kill it with Task Manager. I'm keeping it, for now -- but I hope it gets updated and debugged.

Go to H*LL, Apple

Pros: It plays the Quicktime format. Whoop-dee-ding-dong-doo.

Cons: The most instrusive software I've ever seen. It highjacks your file associations, every time it runs. It inserts itself into your start menu, every time it runs. It plugs itself into your browser, and hides so it can't be unplugged. Mr. Jobs can take his program (and iTunes too), shove it where the sun don't shine, and give it a good hard twist counterclockwise.
