Stay far far away

Pros: Brought internet explorer closer to the leading browsers in theory, with tabbed browsing and added security.

Cons: Ruined my system, granted yes at first i was almost impressed by the new and improved internet explorer, but then the problems started.

At first ran fine, then after reboot, i got the same welcome message and options, not allowing me to open the dropdown menus no matter what i tried. But stil i carried on. Then components stopped working and sites i had been able to access would no longer load properly, eventualy got to a stage i could no longer stand it and tried to remove it, which actually caused more harm than good.

I tried to locate it from the control panel no luck, tried to use uninstaller software like tuneup utilities, no luck. Search the entire computer for a removal file, found it in a kind of unexpected location being hidden in the windows folder opposed to in program files, ran it reboot when promted, and loaded system back up to find the ***** thing was stil there. So i tried system restore after system restore to no avail.

Ultimately i had to reformat my pc/laptop to remove to ***** thing as microsoft were useless in aiding to rid myself of this trouble some piece of software(they were helpful though when i had issues with windows one live care or whatever they call it). After all that effort i finally was able to get back to using IE6sp2 and using netscape 8.1 and others for my needs. If it was not for my external hard drive carrying install files, documents and other files and programs that i use, i would have lost everything,i dont use backup software had bad experience so i just back up my files folders and documents i want,the way i want.

Ultimately stick to opera, mozilla, firefox, netscape for your main browser and user IE6sp2 for updates only.

Perfect for all your media needs

Pros: Great can do anything any of my other players can and this can handle any file type you can think of and more, though you have to download the updates patches first. Skinable and low on resources when in use.

Cons: I find when changing the skins it sometimes crashes. Also as mention in i think the editors review this can take you for ever to learn how to use all the setting and extras, but a little patience goes along way here.

Clear crisp display-well you know microsoft didnt make it

Pros: Read cons first.

after removing the program and using system restore i just couldnt get use to not having that layout so i decided to create a new system restore point and try again. This time installed hardly anything, but i did install the cursor pack, wallpapers login screen and folder settings, ie mac styled folders, yellow green red min,max,close option and all that. I have never owned a mac, never really used a mac, but i do admire the clariety of the layout although sometimes confusing the colour scheme makes it work. I also installed objectdock. This makes my mac styled theme complete with a few added touches i use alfaclock to replace the windows clock, moved the taskbar to the top and run object dock at the bottom, using auto hide. SO far no major flaws, netscape runs and so do the apps that didnt work last time do now, but sometimes the text in menus and options doesnt fit or display might just be me. Would love some Linux themed desktops to be released, if anyone knows of any, desktop themes not the actual operating system contact me via email at:

Cons: I got this from a pc magazine, i had a few apps with mac skins downloaded my ad-aware being one of them. Liking the layout i gave it a go, went the whole hog and installed everything, mistake. At first i loved it nice layout clean, but i found a few apps were crashing or just loading/working netscape 8.1.2 being one of them, add that had all my passwords etc. Decide to use system restore, failed twice manage to get it done eventually in safemode on the third try. Now read Pros.
