Vast improvement from previous versions
Pros: Easy install and protection. Detects and cleans as stated. Acceptable for small biz networks. We tested this product on three 'Lab-Rat PC's before actually using this product for temporary field offices in the Oil and Gas Industry.
We were impressed with this product for a number of reasons. Small start-up companies occasionally implement freeware when possible. For a free version to accomplish what Comodo has done says a lot about how far they have come. Since AVG went pricey and offers nothing but free anti-virus we just had to try this product. The PC's that we tested have been virus, Trojan, worm, malicious-BHO, key logger, malware, and grayware free for two months now. We also scanned the PC's using Trend Micro, F-Secure, AVG-license version, and inspected the registry's of these machines to verify that they were indeed clean. No bugs! We read some negative posts here on CNET; however, other sites are postings 5 star ratings on the new Comodo and that is what led us to try this version.
We like freeware that works. We hear complaints from hundreds of employees about hundreds of issues; Ninety percent of the time the problem is user related, even when the employee stakes a claim of being computer proficient. There is no shortage of 'Arm-Chair experts and that is why we tested first and installed later.
Cons: May work too good. The new comodo even caught some open port flaws in our SEO Optimization software and it was shut down.
We had to have our SEO company correct the issue. KUDOS to Comodo.
