Many features but really ugly

Pros: Has a lot of options and many configurable features. Skinnable. It's possible to configure several minimalistic stay-on-top stopwatches to time my work on different projects. Possible to have a stopwatch start from a preset value, not just zero.

Cons: TimeLeft only comes with ugly skins. Tray clock replacement looks unprofessional. Somewhat cluttered interface. Some things not configurable, like the location of the start/stop and reset timer buttons.

GSplit

Version: 2.1

Could not split a 7 GB file

Pros: Free. Many options. Polished interface.

Cons: Even though the interface was pretty nice, it took some time (by trial and error) to understand. I only gave GSplit one shot and since it did not manage to split a 7 GB file into parts for burning onto two single layer DVDs I had to uninstall it. I got some strange "no access" error. I tried four times before giving up. WinRar, however, was able to split the file into parts with no problem.

Easy CD-DA Extractor

Version: 8.0

Not far from perfect

Pros: The application is frequently updated and the author is qute responsive to users requests. This is important to me. The application works very well and it hasn't failed to rip any single one of the CDs I have thrown at it. Bonus features are the Audio File Format Converter and the Audio CD Creator which also works very well. Great value for the money.

Cons: Some minor interface bugs that was pointed out on the support forum over a year ago have still not been fixed.
