Best P2P sharing program. Free. Easy to Use. NO SPYWARE/ADWARE.Needs Improvments

Pros: Most important: No Spyware or Adware.

I started using Grouper after several failed attempts to try to use FTP clients. FTP clients are very difficult to configure and also very difficult to use. Very few people know how to use FTP. So I gave up and tried Grouper.

Grouper turns out to be the Best sharing program I have used yet. It takes care of all the requirements I had, for sharing files with my Family & Friends.

Installation is Easy.

Sharing process is Easy. Just select the folders of files you want to share.

But I think it is worth it because you get to share files with anyone in the world.

There are plenty of Groups to join and share with.

Support through email is very fast and helpful.

User friendly with lots of options.

Chatting and Blogging feature with a unique Mini-Mail system.

Privacy and Security are not compromised.

I successfully downloaded large files from a user in Europe at high speeds.

Added Feature I liked: I could see who is browsing my files, downloading my files or listening to my music. Everything is logged so even if i'm away from my desk, I can know what was going on in Grouper.

Grouper gets 4 Stars. If Grouper adds a feature, where I can view other users Upload Speeds before downloading any files from them, Grouper's next version or update will get 5 Stars.

Cons: Suggestion for Grouper Programmers (I emailed the support guy with my idea but he never responded):

A few people in Grouper don™t share their files. They set their upload speeds to such a low rate that downloading anything from them is impossible or probably their Firewall Software (like McAfee) blocks outgoing connections.

There should be a system in Grouper, which will show the Upload-Speed (Ping) of the opposite user. This Technology is used in Online-Gaming where servers can kick or warn a user if his Ping is too low to operate in the game. This will enable UserA to know if any download is possible from UserB'™s available files, before UserA tries to download anything from UserB.

I had to browse the files of several users and after trying to download their files for long hours, I realized that even though the display is showing "Downloading" the size was constantly "0". Nothing was downloading from some users even though they had files to share. Ironically, I saw the same user, browsing through my files every now and then and even listening to my MP3 songs.

I wanted to share my Music Video Collection with others but I was restricted from doing so. MTV&VH1 in America only show Hip-Hop or Rock. World & Electronic Music is extinct in American TV. I have a collection of diverse Music Videos, which are not shown in this region. But I was not allowed to post them or share with other users. Even though Porn and other negative stuff is available in a few groups. You can listen to other user's MP3 songs but cannot download them. You can download other files.

Download problems exist only with a few novice users who don'™t know how to set their Firewalls or Leeches who simply don'™t want to share their files by setting their upload speed to a minimum.

Takes time for Grouper to load.

If you have an old computer with low memory, Grouper may slow down your computer and other applications because it uses a lot memory. This happens only till Grouper is running. It is not a permanent effect.

Yahoo Messenger V 6 is better then V 7 Voice Chat better Quality then PC-PC Call

Pros: Pros:

#1- Voicemail Feature is nice.

The only thing new about the Yahoo Messenger 7 is it offers PC to PC calling and user can leave Voicemails for Offline Users. While the Voicemail feature is very usefull...(Go to 'Cons' section)

Cons: Cons:

#1- PC to PC calling has poor sound quality.

#2- Voice Chat feature of earlier versions is NOT available anymore in this new version 7.

#3- PC to PC call did not work for few hours. No information about server problems in Yahoo Help.

(cont)...the PC to PC calling has very low quality sound. It feels like you are talking to someone on Pluto. Sometimes the PC to PC calls never go through. The first time I tried using the PC to PC calling with an online friend, it wrongfully said the "User did not answer". In fact I was chatting with the user and the user never got any rings. I presume the PC to PC Voice Server was down. After a few hours when the PC to PC call did work, the quality was so pathetic, I immedietely realized that the Good-Old voice chat was much better. Unfortunately the new Yahoo Messenger 7 does not have an option to Voice-Chat anymore. So the only way to talk to someone with this new version was the sad PC to PC call. I tried to look for Yahoo messenger 6 setup file in the Yahoo website but none available there. Thanks to Download com I found it here. Im happy with the old version 6 and I can live without the Voicemail feature.

Best motorcycle game I have come across but 1999 version was the best

Pros: Installs easy. Easy to start and run. No bugs. I even managed to change the default buttons on my USB joypad. Great graphics and nice 3d effects.

Cons: The look and feel of the original MotoGP that I played back in 1999 is missing. That game demo which also came with its own version of motocross was excellent. If I can find that old demo today, I would replace it immediately. I would have given 5 stars to MotoGP3 if it was as good as the original MotoGP of 1999.
