A very good Antivirus product with realtime protection! Passed the VB100 test!!

Pros: Iv'e tried a number of free AV products. AVG, Avast, Avira, Mcfee, ect.. and they all have good reviews but as far as full system scan time the V4 of pctools AV beats them all. The scan engine has vastly improved from earlier versions. Along with the real time monitoring which can be turned on or off for "all files" or "running processes" and e-mail monitoring you can't ask for more, free or not. It did pass the VB100 test which is the main reason why I gave it a try on my PC.

Great Spyware Protection

Pros: I'm running SD V5.5.0.204 which is the latest version out there. All the On-Guard protection turned on and I have NOT encountered any problems what so ever. The installation was clean, The scans are fast and acurate, picking up low to high level spyware. It uses minimal resources for the amount of protection it provides. The RAM usage falls between 3 & 7 megs and CPU 0 to 5% for a split second. And that's all procresses combined. I have NO slowdown with my PC working offline or on the net. It lives well with my other security products I have installed.

Cons: The only con I have is towards the other users who submit bad reviews of a product without looking at their system as a whole. Do you clean your system including the registery before an install? Do you meet the system requirements for the product? Is the software compatible with other software install on your machine?? These are some of the questions you need to address and answer before installing any software.
