A little better than Limewire Pro

Pros: Frostwire seems a little faster than Limewire pro at connecting and searching for files. Especially if your behind a router. You don't need to pay for Frostwire nor do you need to start surfing for a crack to get the same behavior as found in Limewire Pro. It can even Download from Bittorrent tracker sites so you can search on both the Gnutilla network as well as Bittorrent sites to get the quality files you want while the program automatically seeds the torrents for others to enjoy on the Bittorrent network. I suggest making a seperate folder for your torrents and share the torrent folder. Works well for Movies and some TV episodes as well. Hopefully the RIAA Mafia group can't ever kill Gnutilla as its a good netowrk since its serverless.

Cons: The gnutilla network does have spam thanks to anti p2p organizations out there. Always use PeerGuardian when you are running p2p apps to block out malicious spammers. Although its not 100% you'll still need to train your junk filter in order to block out these pesky spammers of Gnutilla. Ares Galaxy does seem to have fewer spam files on its open source network. Plus you'll have to go into the keyword filter and block .wma, .aif, WAV files from your audio searches. But you'll still get spam from some websites trying to sell you something via the Mp3's.

Rhapsody To Go Beats Napster and All of P2p 160K Bitrate

Pros: 160K Bitrate on the Downloads. Can transfer as many songs as you want for $14.95/Mo no need to pay 99c/Song. Does not play bait and switch routines like Napster does. If its on Rhapsody, you can Download it so long as you subscribe to the To Go service of Rhapsody and not just the $9.95/Mo. Songs sound better than Napster at 160K instead of the tired old 128K. Volume from song to song does not go from LOUD to super soft Like p2p does when you try and Download an entire album from say Eve 6. Songs are named correctly so that if you want to listen to the album as it were recorded you can on your compatible Mp3 player like the iRiver. Rhapsody Recommendations help you to remember those long forgotten albums from bands you loved along time ago. Lots of content if you love Alternative and Classic Rock. Even has my Metaphysical stuff like Krishna Das in which I downloaded so I could do my chanting (Can't find that on p2p and this was high quality 160K Bitrate). Finally the recording industry did something right. Oh and did I say the interface is easy to use? Well beats Musicmatch Jukebox and Real player 10.

Cons: A little slow on the transfers to the Mp3 player. Probably cuz of the DRM. I can transfer non protected Mp3's to my iRiver in seconds. However that is a small price to pay for HQ sound. To get the service to play the album in order you have to click the folder where the music is stored and drag each song one by one to the playlist as the service puts the songs in Alphabetical order VS the order of the song on Album. I'm sure this will be fixed on the future versions of the Rhapsody To Go Service. You have to plug your Mp3 player into your computer on the Anniversary date of your subscription or the SONGS YOU GOT FROM RHAPSODY ONLY!!! Will stop working till you re sync. This again is a small price to pay.

Bye Bye Kazaa Lite 2.6 Nsane Installer

Good Bye Kazaa and Kazaa lite. I've found lots of very rare files here. When you use the rank system you find lots of files. I like this app and the adware can easily be removed. I know older versions of Bearshare sucked but this app has improved a heck of a lot. So much that Kazaa is actually behind now. Don't believe any nay sayers. Download this app and RUN it today. Make sure you Disable the Auto start however.
