Tries to be too many things and ends up a confusing mess
Pros: It can view many types of file formats, it's nice looking in it's default skin. You can broadcast stuff from your pc.
Cons: It can view many types of file formats, neat, but so what? There are other programs that can do a much better job of that, usually alternatives to microsoft explorer. I also found the console to be confusing, it was a mess of various things with odd names. One reviewer said it was a no-brainer, well yes some of it is, but there were all kinds of weird options, obviously some are useful to others but maybe not me, but again, it looked like a mess and wasn't easy to figure out what I was looking at. One reviewer said there was no help file (well that helps me doesn't it?)
I kept looking for various skins that I could tolerate but they were all flawed or amateur looking in some way. The best one was the mac skin and instead of appearing how it did in this preview picture, it ended up having ugly black fields every other field in the play list. A huge eyesore. I looked at a big list of skins by the way.
One thing that really really annoyed me was that it kept trying to scan ALL my files even though I kept telling it not to do that, it was a huge resource hog when it tried to.
I also read from one review that it does not convert audio files to mp3s, if that is true, why not? I suppose the company wants everyone to move to mp3 pro, maybe they want some fame for starting some mp3 pro movement?
Conclusion:
It's not as good as winamp that's for sure as far as available skins, GOOD looking skins, simplicity, and ease of use.
