Can't live without it!

Pros: This app takes the task manager to new heights! As someone who frequently tests new software, i find it really easy to kill any program that has fatally crashed. Also, the real time CPU and memory usage charts are a nice touch!

Cons: I don't like that it has to be in a shallow C: folder to replace task manager, but that's not too bad. I'd rather run it from my program folder. Also, it takes a bit longer to load than task manager. That will happen with all 3rd party software.

Make it look like FireFox!

Pros: This app makes IE run like FireFox. I have also heard that it makes it look like IE8.

Cons: I STILL don't use IE, I prefer FireFox. When I DO have to use IE, it's nice to have added functionality.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

Version: 8.0.1

Same great product, more memory

Pros: This version seems to inmprove on the old with a new GUI and some anti-spyware possibilities. Free version still delivers.

Cons: I have been using McAffee Site Advisor for years, and now AVG is doing it too. This results in slowed down search times.

Wow, it really works!

Pros: It does what it says it does, lets me have total control. This could be exploited somewhere, I think. I will keep aware. I can't beleieve it's free! I smell a trap...

Cons: Very much a resource and memory hog. I only leave it running if I actually intend to use it.

Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition

Great stuff!

Pros: This program is my first stop if something is wrong with a PC. The new update, I think, is a fix for Vista. I am seeing a lot of that. Adaware always finds the nasties, including Alexa related stuff in Windows! Good stuff!

Cons: No active background runtime. Adaware does not catch anything coming in, it only finds them in scans.
