Bloodshed Dev-C++ is better
Pros: Script functions is work, but not all.
Can use alpha effect, make 3D shapes, vertexs without lighting and shadow, make a simple platform game and some things.
Cons: 1) This program content no work functions like:
instance_position(x,y,obj) << Impossible to use this condition in this position with the object
2) Impossible to call DLL functions (I have tested "gdi32.dll", but it not work)
3) Very Very hard to put dialog commands in window
4) The gamma isn't work
5) The IP connection isn't work
6) 3D vertexs isn't work with shadow
7) To create a Yoshi game who can to flight his tongue, I has LUCKY because it ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to do it with GameMaker! (I used logic and old version:5.3)
8) The LibBuilder is work only like GameMaker 4.3
9) The original MIDI music drums isn't work
Then, I think that is good only for kid, but NOT for good games like SuperMario64 and not for mature games like WarRock.
Bloodshed Dev-C++:
It's very good with examples because:
1) Can use dialog commands
2) Can use 3D shapes and 3D vertex with lighting and shadow, IT WORK ALL !
3) Can use sprites with palettes like you edit a PCX colors with AdobePhotoshop like mario star in SuperMarioWorld
4) Etc.
Then, Bloodshed is better cause it's a true program! LOL LOL LOL :D
