Polished, fast, and apparently efficient

Pros: AAW 2006 was great, and 2007 a nightmare of installation problems. 2008 Pro installed just right, right away (W XP SP3)!

Running it is effortless and not at all RAM-heavy. I use a good firewall and antivirus (F-secure), W Defender, Firefox's Ad Block and No Script, W Malicious Software Remover as well; I don't know how much these programs render AAW less a must have.

Cons: Not really CON, but utilizing all the features, and choosing which ones you really want, require you to go through the manuals at their site.

Perfect for everyday use

Pros: Just what I wanted - quick spellchecking, including US and other spellings, with defintions

Cons: Nothing

Impressive

Pros: Seems to work quickly. Flexible, with bells and whistles, though you will have to read the manual in order to use all the optimizing options wisely.

W XP SP3, Seagate Free Agent external backup HD

Cons: The time remaining meter is sometimes wildly erratic.
