Installing Firefox extensions from CNET Download.com

Firefox will not install extensions from a Web site unless you add the site to Firefox's Allowed Sites list. Follow the instructions below to add Download.com to your Allowed Sites list.

1. Do you see the Software Installation window (it will look like the image shown below)?

If yes, then Download.com is already on your Allowed Sites list. Click the Install Now button and you're all set.

If no, then proceed to step 2.

2. In the Tools menu of Firefox, select Options. When the Options window opens, click on the Content icon at the top of the window, then click on the Exceptions button.

3. When the "Allowed Sites - Software Installation" window appears, enter www.download.com into the text field and click the Allow button, then click Close, and OK to close the Options window.

4. Click here to begin the installation process.

5. Click the Install Now button when the Software Installation window appears. Your extension is now installed and will be enabled on your next Firefox restart.
