Publisher's description of Star Wars Republic Commando demo
From LucasArts Entertainment:Star Wars Republic Commando is a squad-based first person shooter that lets you explore the elite world of the Star Wars military. Leading a four-man squad of Republic Commandos, you'll go deep behind enemy lines on over 14 intense and challenging levels through three different campaigns where you will face more than ten brutal enemies. You'll have more than a dozen deadly weapons at your disposal, but none more lethal than your squad. What makes the squad in Star Wars Republic Commando so unique is the game's innovative "One Touch Squad Control" system that allows you to engage your squad with just one button.
In this demo for the Star Wars shooter Republic Commando, you and your squad are sent to the jungles of Kashyyyk to free the Wookiee leader Tarfful from the clutches of the Trandoshans. As the leader you must operate your squad as a single unit, utilizing each of your troops' abilities to fit the situation. Think fast and keep your Blaster Rifle close by, because you're heading behind Clone War enemy lines.

Version: Star Wars Republic Commando demo
Pros: I thought this game would be a complete failure, but it showed me otherwise. It is a very good shooter, even if you don't like Star Wars. It's a squad based game, where you can switch between members. Each member has a unique ability. The graphics are not NextGen but certainly not bad.
Cons: The AI (espacially your squad's) is not that good. When you give them orders to go anywhere they will stay there even if they are under attack by some tank...

"It's a Star Wars game, so it can't be all bad."
Cons: No gamepad control, keyboard/ mouse only. Too dark, hard to see or know what to do next.

Version: Star Wars Republic Commando demo
Pros: I've played a few Star Wars games before and those games were mildly entertaining at best. However this game is something totally different...in one word it's AWESOME!
Graphics are really good without being too much of a drain on your GPU. Gameplay is great too with a unique concept of squad combat. You don't lose a mission till your entire squad goes down. If you are the one who happens to bite the dust first, don't worry your squad members will revive you (provided they aren't dead too). Likewise you can revive downed squad members.
The sheer scale and variety of weapons is great as well, not to mention some really cool background music. The humorous dialogue between your squad mates is amusing and adds a final touch to an already superb game.
Cons: Ok I do have a few gripes. It can get really frustrating trying to revive a squad member when taking fire from all sides.
The difficulty level of this game is on the high side. I found it difficult to play even at the 'easy' setting.Plus the sheer number of commands and controls makes this one heck of a complicated game to play.
