Among its variety of remote-access features, I'm InTouch shines brightest for remote file manipulation and transfers. Set aside some time if you're going to give this program a try; the somewhat lengthy installation is followed by an Internet-connection diagnostic as well as central-server registration. We like the many configuration options, as the program lets you connect through its own corporate server or make a direct connection from your current to your remote computer. Once we were logged in, we were pleased the File Management feature logged us into a separate Windows session on our remote machine. We also were pleased with the speed with which files transferred between our computers. The remote-desktop feature works well, although, as with most remote-access software, windows moved sluggishly. File transferring also is accessible from the remote-desktop toolbar, as is a Ctrl+Alt+Delete button so you can restart your computer. I'm InTouch also supports remote Webcam and e-mail viewing. With its many configuration options and fast file transfers, I'm InTouch offers a fairly compelling remote-access solution.

    Version: I'm InTouch 5

"Best mix of price and functionality"

by Point Of Sale on December 12, 2005

Pros: I have used just about all of the RAS you can think of GOTO Logmein, PCA VNC you name it. I have found that Im InTouch is the best overall value. It is secure and CONSISTENTLY fast. The big issue I had with most of the RAS systems was if you were not willing to sacrifice security you got inconsistent speeds. Some of the RAS systems (mentioned above) did rate faster speeds than IIT at certain times of the day but none of them were consistent. Really for 99 bucks a year you cant go wrong.

    Version: I'm InTouch 5

    "Best product, best price"

by gyoungphd on January 27, 2007

Pros: I'm in Touch is extremely inexpensive compared to others; it also works smoothly. You can access either your desktop remotely or just your Outlook, if the latter is all you need to see and you're in a hurry. Tech Support means paying for a call to Toronto (if you're not in Toronto already, that is), but they are very prompt, very thorough, and extremely polite. (And I think the only reason I had to call Tech Support was that I was chicken about uninstalling and reinstalling the program when I probably lost a couple of dll files.) I can't recommend this product enough.
