Ashampoo's extensive pool of knowledge about Windows optimization is the basis for Ashampoo WinOptimizer. The program is designed to enable both novice and advanced users to cleanse and optimize their Windows system and adapt it to their own needs. Easy-to-use menus present the individual modules of Ashampoo WinOptimizer and make it possible to measure system performance, deactivate annoying autostart entries, or delete unnecessary files, all with a mouse click.
Version 5.10 improves the Drive Cleaner module, updates exception lists, and fixes possible problems with the Tweaking module.

Keeping your car running like a champ requires a bit of maintenance now and again. When that time arises, you want to take your beloved to a mechanic you trust. The same holds true for your computer. You'll want to use a trusted maintenance/optimization suite, one that has done you right in the past and has kept your operating system healthy.
Ashampoo WinOptimizer sports a clean, professional interface. You can go for the One-Click Optimization feature, which runs program at pre-determined settings, or run each of the 22 included tools individually. These are categorized under six groups: Clean up, Optimize, Privacy and security, Tune system settings, Diagnosis, and File tools. Within each category, specific features are listed on the right which makes for an easy two-pane navigation.
In addition to system tweaks, WinOptimizer comes with two skins and can create backups so that any changes can be undone. All of the tools, from the drive cleaner to defragger to the file splitter, ran without a hitch, smoothly and without disrupting other programs, and were effective. Novice users will appreciate the ease of use while pro users will find plenty of ways to get their hands dirty.

Pros: It has everything an lives up to the promises made, I see nothing wrong with this program and will keep purchases Ashampoo products
Cons: I see nothing wrong in this program

"Easy to use, and did make a noticeable difference."
Pros: I don't know enough about the ins and outs of computers,or software,but i liked what i saw
and it does what I want it to do.Cons: Not found any yet.

"A new lease of life to my no.2 "workhorse" computer!"
Pros: My no. 2 'hack' computer is five years old and was slow. The programme found and deleted 4355 'unwanted' files. Much faster now!
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Summary: Would recommend its use to anyone who has a computer suffering from old age and indigestion.
