Panicware's Pop-Up Stopper blocks pop-up ads in Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla. It can block Messenger Service and desktop ads, too. There's no need to adjust proxy settings or add sites to a list. Pop-Up Stopper will not strip Web images or slow your browser. You can allow pop-up windows when you want them. User settings allow various pop-up notifications, such as flashing icons or new, fun sounds. Simply hold the Ctrl or Shift key to allow selective pop-up windows; but most new links should open automatically.

Version 3.1.14 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Whether you use IE, Netscape, or Mozilla, Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition has you covered. You can specify different sound and text-bubble alarms or set your mouse to change colors when the program blocks a pop-up ad. Unlike some of its ilk, this utility doesn't affect the Open in New Window right-click context-menu command. You can allow individual pop-up windows by holding the Ctrl or Shift key. The one drawback to the free edition is that it limits your configuration options and doesn't let you specify pop-ups you want to always allow. Despite those drawbacks, Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition is still a great weapon in the war against annoying pop-up pests.

"recommend it"

Pros: I have tried many Pop-up Stoppers. I have one in my tool bar that doesn't work as well as this. AOL has a free one that is great. I think it may be panicware's, too. This blocks it all and is easy to use. I love it. It's not a PC hog and there is no spyware with it.

"Oustanding Program"

Pros: This program worked so well I upgraded to stopper pro. I do a lot of web surfing. I have gone to some really bad sites that have had multiple pop-ups and this program got them all. I like how it site in the Explorer bar and just does its job.

"Simple & Reliable"

Pros: I like this product because it is very simple and has blocked 99% of all popups for me. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is sick of popups taking over. Also I like the fact that you can just double click the icon in the system tray to turn it on or off. Very good product.

"If you are not using a blocker, try this one"

Pros: If for some reason you are not using a blocker, then this one is great. I find this program most useful for IE. It is very easy to use and is free.

Cons: Nothing to really hate. This is one of many blockers.

Pros: There are no viruses or adware with this program! I use 4 different programs for adware and there isn't a trace from this program.
