If you're a Mac user who hasn't made the jump to OS X (what are you waiting for?), and you're trying to find a solution for playing WMV files you find on the Web, this will only help you some of the time. Windows Media Player (Classic) offers a clunky interface, inconsistent playback, and no tech support whatsoever, should your computer cease to function from its use. Though we admit this is unlikely, what is likely is you will become frustrated and trash this buggy media player long before you go to the trouble of crafting an e-mail asking the non-existent support team why the program isn't working (again). Let us help you. Our recommendation is: don't download this program to begin with, but if you must, it only sometimes works.

"W Works better than WinMedia and Real Player for me."

Pros: My DVD's play properly with this software. Windows media and Real player both failed to synchronise sound and vision. I think it mat be just a basic player but if that is all you need then the v.fast download and automatic installation make this attractive(to a normal non-techy like me).

"maybe not the best, but show me something better"

Pros: i'm a recent convert to Mac. i have a lot of wmv files. if there is anything better out there, then show it to me. as far as i'm concerned it works great. although it doesnt play wmvHD videos very well, i would say overall this is an excellent program for anyone who has recently switched to Mac!
