GraphicConverter is an all-purpose image editor that opens and saves images in just about any graphics format. The program includes high-end editing tools for graphics manipulation, as well as compatibility with Photoshop-style plug-ins. It offers batch-conversion capabilities and a slide-show window. GraphicConverter can import more than 200 file formats and export more than 80 and also has the ability to import TealPaint PDBs and ScreenShot Hack PDBs. Version 6.1 includes several feature enhancements and bug fixes.

"Image editing and conversion for cheap"

This all-purpose image editor offers high-end editing tools and support for several image formats, without the high price tag of professional software. GraphicConverter can import and export almost any image format. It offers a simple, yet powerful, set of image-editing tools, batch-conversion capabilities, and compatibility with Photoshop-style plug-ins. You also can create a slide show of your images. The publisher actively updates the program in response to bug reports and requests for feature enhancements, which explains its longevity as a top Mac image editor. Though there certainly are better image-editing solutions out there, none offer as much value as GraphicConverter.

"what good is a converter that can't handle wmf and emf"

Cons: it can even properly open wmf emf files
(windows meta files and enhanced meta files respectively)

Version: GraphicConverter X 6.1

"Awesome and powerful program"

Pros: Great program for image management. From viewing, to modifying, to editing to cataloging files, this is a powerful program that extremely powerful. I am a professional photographer and use this program to process my orders. It's extensive library of file extensions allows you to view just about every imaginable format on earth. The value you get for the price you pay is 100-fold. Support and communication from the software creator is unmatched. I recommend this program to anyone who works with images.
