FreeCaddie is a golf rangefinder. Our software runs on your Windows Mobile phone and uses its GPS capabilities combined with our course file data to tell your distance to the front, center, and back of the green. You can create your local golf course on our Web site which then gets shared with other users. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

"This app is cool!"

Pros: It's just as accurate as a Skycaddie (two of my friends have those). Lots of features and new ones seems to come out each week or so. I love the price too! You get distances to front/center/back of green, can mark shots (how far did that driver REALLY go?) and it runs on my PocketPC!

"Great GPS rangefinder software for the serious golfer!"

Pros: FreeCaddie tell you everything you need to know when you are on the golf course. You use the course creator on freecaddie.com to map out a golf course in your area, then you get distances to front/center/back of the greens as well as distances to hazards, fairway bunkers, etc. The software is regularly upgraded (you can get the latest version, 0.9.0, at the web site). And they really listen to their users (see the forums). Great software!
