DriverMax is a powerful free utility which helps you download, backup and restore the drivers installed on your Windows Vista or Windows XP computer and check if newer versions are available. Download all drivers from one place in just a few steps. Or back them up so you will have all of them in a single place and will be able to reinstall them in a few minutes. This tool can save you a lot of time when reinstalling Windows, especially on older computers for which the original CDs containing the drivers have been lost. You no longer have to track down old driver installation CDs, insert one installation CD after another or spend hours searching for drivers on the Internet. DriverMax is also able to display a detailed report about all drivers (versions, release dates) installed on your system. Identify unknown devices in your computer and get Windows Vista rating information before you purchase new hardware.

Version 4.3 adds Windows XP driver downloads.

  Pros: Graphics are good, easy to understand and does as good a job as many of the pro software available.

  Cons: As with most if not all paid for update driver programs this free program identifies incorrect updates and as with the paid for programs getting corrections applied doesn't happen.

  Pros: A great program which takes the hassle out of trawling through the net looking for updates.I have had this software for about a month now and wow it does exactly what it says.

  A worthwhile piece of software,try it for your selves.

  Pros: I have been using Driver Max on my PC Windows XP for many month now, to identify out of date drivers

  > bring them all up to date. Moreover I can 'export' the drivers to My Documents -> My Drivers for subsequent easy monthly back-up. Driver Max must be congratulated on the

  I have tried a number of others, but there was always a problem of either finding the drivers or especially installing them. I have suggested they needed an installation Wizard instead of very detailed instructions, which sometimes did work. Driver Max appears to have overcome this problem. It was well worth the wait.
