Shara Worden doesn't need to get Feist-level famous, but she sure deserves to. Known previously for her work with Sufjan Stevens, the Brooklyn singer-songwriter has just dropped a second straight solo stunner. The elliptical, enchanted "Teeth" is one of the best indie-pop sets of '08.

Justin Vernon comes by this project name--sorta-French for "good winter"--honestly, having cut his LP in the snowy isolation of rural Wisconsin. There's a reason we mythologize such outings. This is pristine lo-fi, run through with icy acoustic guitar and fragile vocals.
