POP Peeper is an e-mail notifier that supports POP3, IMAP with Idle (AOL, AIM, FastMail, etc), SMTP, Hotmail, MSN, LiveMail, Yahoo, GMail, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, RediffMail, Juno, and NetZero. Other features include portability, password protection, an address book, viewing in HTML (or rich/plain text for security), open/send attachments, separate polling intervals for each account. Many options are available to indicate new mail has arrived such as sound alerts (configurable for each account), flashing scroll lock, skinnable pop-up notifier, and a customized screensaver.

An SSL plug-in is available for download which allows you to retrieve e-mail from POP3 and IMAP servers that accept secure connections such as Gmail. With IMAP's Idle command, you will be notified of new e-mail as soon as it arrives in your inbox. Version 3.3.1 includes unspecified updates.

  Handy Dandy and Useful

  Pros: Rural Mailbox sits in your tray, looks for new mail every 10 minutes or so and waves its little flag when new mail is found. Supports more than one email account. Can read and reply to your messages. Just a handy dandy and cute timesaver.

  Cons: Nothing.

  Great time saver

  Pros: I have three mail accounts. Just like most people I have Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail.So where do I check at once all of my mail? You guessed it. It does so ever so brilliantly and also has a nice interface which can be made even more appealing with a free plug in.

  Cons: In two years none so far.

  Weak on frills making it a fast loading easy to use alternative to ePrompeter.

  Pros: POP Peeper is easy on resources with just the right amount of email tools.

  Cons: This is not a spam filtering tool, not that it should be. Light is good.

  Pros: I like it all really. It's quite useful. Give it a try and i think you'll like it too.

  Cons: Not much I don't like. Can't think of anything really.
